We’re looking for a credible, resource smart HR Advisor to support a not-for-profit client as the team tackles multiple projects and workload ramps up. The role will be recruited on an interim basis initially for 3-6 months.

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will support the HR team by being subject matter expert on all things policy and process, HR compliance and employee relations. As the team tackle multiple projects, including the implementation of a new HR system, you will take on the role of ER expert and, while managing a case load, will look to improve ER workflows. You will explore system capability to steer new case management processes and help to create better insights, with a view to directing pre-emptive and preventative HR initiatives to improve management capability and reduce employee relations challenges. You will also support the HR Business Partners with change management activity.
The role will be primarily remote, but you will be required to attend the Northampton office once a week, with the wider team, and on an ad hoc basis for specific ER or project matters. Most of the organisations operational staff are based nationwide so you can expect to support stakeholders and employees primarily on a remote basis. You will have the support of an established wider HR team and will have access to a legal advice line.
Who are we looking for?
You’ll be an enthusiastic HR Advisor that enjoys being in the nitty gritty of people challenges and be confident in advising managers of mixed capability, and on a range of matters. We don’t expect you to have experience of every eventuality but we are looking for a level-headed individual who understands risk mitigation and is comfortable seeking the advice or guidance of individuals who are established in the business.
The role is offered around 25-30 hours a week and the organisation are comfortable with these being worked over 3, 4 or 5 days a week.
