You’ll be one of 2 HR Business Partners in this business and will support a client group of around 250 people, primarily based from head office. You’ll have the expertise of small centres of excellence to draw on and will have total autonomy to partner with your client groups up to Director level as you join a function that has a great reputation and sets you up to succeed.
Â
The business is well established so you’ll find solid foundations but will also find a function that is evolving to better suit the needs of the business through enhancing capability and fostering a culture of openness and continued conversation (rather than an over reliance an annual or cyclical review activity). Critically for you as HRBP, you’ll find a business with a plan – long and short term – for which you will develop and own the supporting people plan. There are longer term HR objectives at play, alongside the business strategy, and the next 12 months will see you supporting an HR agenda focused on talent and succession, and reward.
Â
Naturally, being a generalist business partner role, you will also take responsibility for delivering any change projects for your business area, uphold a standard for ensuring professional development is available, coach stakeholders through risk and cultural considerations, promote a culture of inclusion and performance, and ensure there is a consistent standard when bringing new talent into the business. As HRBP you will be the key interface between HR and the business ,and will work closely with the HR Ops team and the CoEs.

Who are we looking for?
You’ll have experience operating as a business partner, ideally be CIPD qualified and have a a track record of delivering impactful HR initiatives. Success in this role for the first 6 months won’t be measured by how many boxes you’ve ticked or whether you’ve driven an arbitrary percentage improvement but will be measured by how well you understand the business and how HR can help it thrive – so we’re looking for someone able to build relationships effectively and who can demonstrate commercial understanding. This is an HR function that has a good rep and is not a telling, but a coaching function, so being able to truly show empathy and open mindedness will stand you in good stead.
